Who We AreEncompassCare began as a glimmer of an idea … that therapy in geriatric healthcare settings could be more dynamic and more meaningful. That it could produce measurable outcomes which demonstrated how therapy could truly make a difference in someone’s life. Several individuals spent nights dreaming and pondering what rehabilitation services could be if the traditional barriers were removed or ignored: Jeff Unverferth, President and founder of EncompassCare; his wife Debbie Unverferth, OTR, a recognized hand therapist in Toledo, Ohio; and Debbie’s physical therapist sister Danielle Beveridge, LPT. Together, they knew the services they planned were possible to achieve. They also understood the company they envisioned would treat each individual on the basis of his/her personal goals, medical conditions, and targeted discharge environment. In 2007, Mr. Unverferth had the opportunity to implement these ideas in the Unverferth family-owned HCF skilled rehab facilities located in Ohio and Pennsylvania. With a dedicated team of experienced rehabilitation professionals and partners, EncompassCare began seeing patients April 1, 2007. It has been exceeding all expectations since. Management Team
